Privacy Policy
Time Keeper (“the App”) is a focus and timer tracker for iPhone and iPad, published by Halfbrain Research. This policy matches the App Privacy details we declare in App Store Connect.
We do not track you
We do not use your data for tracking. There are no ads, no ad networks, and we do not share identifiers with data brokers or other companies for cross-app advertising.
You can use the App without an account
Tracking works on-device without signing in. Cloud sync, Premium, and crash reports tied to an account only apply after you choose to sign in. Every data type below is optional in that sense.
Data we collect (App Store label)
When you sign in or use optional features, we collect the following. It is linked to your account, used only for App Functionality, and not used for tracking.
- Name — display name from Sign in with Apple or Google, or a name you set.
- Email Address — from Apple or Google sign-in.
- Phone Number — if you sign in with phone.
- Photos or Videos — only if you set a profile photo from your library.
- Other User Content — projects, categories, session history, notes/descriptions, and optional bio.
- User ID — your Firebase account id, used to store and sync your data.
- Purchase History — whether Premium is active, and Apple subscription identifiers needed to unlock and restore it. We do not receive your card number. Apple processes App Store payments.
- Crash Data — if you are signed in, JavaScript/React crash reports (error message and stack) may be stored on your account so we can fix failures. Native system crashes are not collected yet.
We do not collect location, contacts, health, browsing history, search history, device advertising IDs, analytics of taps, or payment card numbers.
How we use it
- Sign you in and keep projects, categories, and sessions synced across your devices.
- Unlock Premium (unlimited categories and unlimited sub-categories) after an App Store purchase or restore.
- Show your profile name and photo if you set them.
- Diagnose crashes you report while signed in.
Who processes data for us
We do not sell personal information. We use:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, and Cloud Functions.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases. Apple is the merchant of record for App Store subscriptions.
- Google — optional Google sign-in.
Retention and deletion
You can sign out at any time. Local data is removed by deleting the App. To delete your account and associated cloud data, use Delete account in Settings, or email support@halfbrainresearch.com from the address on the account.
Children
Time Keeper is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
